Brilliant News: Graduate Planet CIC has been selected to be a Global Good Awards Communication Partn

The Global Good Awards is all about rewarding businesses, NGOs, charities and social enterprises of all shapes and sizes for doing good globally.

Formerly the National CSR Awards, these awards aren’t just about recognising big business for responsible and sustainable practices. It is about rewarding change in all organisations, big or small; building platforms to learn, share and progress ideas; and encouraging the development of engaged and ethical business practices.

We are so proud and honoured to have been chosen as a Global Good Awards Communications Partner, it was one of the first inspirational companies we came across on our Graduate Planet journey, offering a standard for businesses to aspire to and be inspired by, celebrating incredible people and innovative organisations that are working hard to make a better world.

The Awards Ceremony will be on 16 May 2018 at BMA House which has just won Gold Standard for Green Tourism in September 2017. A real challenge for a Listed building and the highest level of sustainability for a business.

“It’s been fantastic to be part of the National CSR Awards 2017; the whole process was smooth throughout and Karen could not have been more helpful! We were absolutely delighted to have won in the category of ‘International Sustainable Community’ for our work with UNICEF creating a protective environment for adolescent girls on tea estates in Assam, especially as we were up against some other fantastic projects. The new name, ‘Global Good Awards’ is an exciting change and a great reflection of what these awards are trying to achieve.”

“Really enjoyed the National CSR awards event this year. The announcement of the ‘eco-tie’ dress code foretold of an event that would be different to other award ceremonies, with interesting speakers on different aspects of sustainability and a fun round of eco action games before dinner! Speaking of which, the pescatarian menu was absolutely delicious – and led to a conversation on our table as to why anyone would host an event with meat on the menu.

I think the name change for next year to Global Good Awards is a positive move that reflects a wider understanding amongst business that doing good should no longer be limited to a narrow CSR remit, but embedded across all operations and linked much more closely to corporate purpose”.
