SCHOOL SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAMME
School children have the opportunity to visit 7 educational sites including the UK's largest solar farm, a real MRF recycling centre, tree and biodiversity planting, river and sustainable farming workshops in order to learn about environmental sustainability solutions
ACTION STATION
Situated at Stratford upon Avon train station, we are in the process of building a biodiversity educational space, planted by local children. It will provide advice, inspiration and encouragement to local residents and visitors on how they can support wildlife in their own gardens and communities.
THE GREAT BIG BUG HUNT
An exciting project to support the wildlife in your garden. This is a 48 page interactive document educating both adults and children in how they can encourage and nourish wildlife at home. Designed to reduce isolation and promote social interaction, it inspires people to observe insect behaviour and take part in regular insect counts.
FREE CLIMATE CHANGE LESSON PLANS FOR TEACHERS
Designed by teachers, schools have access to free environmental sustainability lesson plans, helping children to understand climate change issues, consolidating their learning from SSSP days and supporting teachers to deliver high quality sustainability lessons that also meet the needs of the curriculum.
