Our client is a seriously value led, fast moving renewable energy technology company who have a fantastic opportunity for a Solar / LED Project Developer to join them in this very exciting time of high growth.


They are looking for a Solar / LED Project Developer to take ownership of the development their Solar and LED lighting projects from survey through to mobilisation. Ideally you will have Project development experience within the energy solutions sectors and a sound electrical technical knowledge but this is not essential and may be suitable for a Graduate.


Role Profile - Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Take projects from survey through to mobilisation delivering high quality engineered solutions at best value for the clients and the company.

  • Undertake detailed site surveys on client’s premises and produce detailed reports which capture all the relevant information in a form that can be used by several different stakeholders.

  • Keep updated on technology developments and market trends, to specify the right solution.

  • Design PV & LED lighting solutions using industry software such as PVSOL or Dialux.

  • Analyse energy consumption and generation data and combine it with relevant financial data to create compelling business cases.

  • Take responsibility for organising and managing all external partner project development activities; grid applications, connection agreements and commissioning documentation structural surveys and asbestos R&D surveys.


About You - To be successful, you will need the following:-


  • Ideally some previous experience of working within the Solar, PV or LED industry.

  • Renewables / engineering experience or electrical knowledge is desirable

  • The ability to take projects from survey through to mobilisation to deliver a high quality engineered solution

  • The ability to undertake detailed site surveys on client’s premises and produce detailed reports

  • Have a technical knowledge of the relevant equipment

  • Able to design’s PV & LED lighting solutions with good PVSOL or Dialux software experience.

  • Strong Excel knowledge plus the ability to use AutoCAD, MS PPT and Word

  • Able to analyse and cross reference energy consumption, generation and financial data

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage external partners.

  • High attention to detail with strong administrative skills.

  • Able to work on your own initiative and able to gain knowledge quickly

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels

  • The ability to prioritise your workload often within tight deadlines whilst still maintaining a high attention to detail

  • Flexibility in providing help and support for others and building good working relationships with your team colleagues

  • You will also need DBS Clearance and be able to work in sensitive environments; schools and care homes and have a 5-year checkable history.

  • Hold a UK driving Licence.
